Computer Recycling for Education and Community Enhancing Resources (CRECER) is a community-based team seeking to enhance community access to computers and information technology.

The CRECER Mission

Computer Recycling for Education and Community Enhancing Resources (CRECER) is a non-profit organization which supports expansion of access to computers and information technologies by conducting educational, charitable, and environmentally sound activities.
What Does the word CRECER stand for?

CRECER is the Spanish word meaning "to grow". It seems appropriate for an information-access group serving South Texas to speak of growing...growing in skill, in access, in opportunity.

This is why we are CRECER!

Our Goals

1. Conduct a computer recycling operation to facilitate an environmentally sound re-use of donated equipment.

2. Provide hardware and software training to recipient and volunteers.

3.. Support rural and urban community activities consistent with its vision and mission statements.

4. Support innovative and appropriate applications of available technologies

5. Establish and maintain administrative systems that facilitate volunteer-driven activities in an effective and regulation-compliant manner.
